The hot packaging and cold packaging is different technique which used for the packing process and the treatment to the packaging material. Although the packaging material of the both packaging methods are having some similarities, they are both plastic film and the basic raw material is PE. But the hot packing method adopts heat sealing blade and heat shrink tunnel to seal the package and shrink it to tight condition while the cold packing method is using the film mechanically stretched and wrapped to the products to give it the protection. Compare to the cold packaging, the hot packaging can hold the product better and keep it airtight and have more protection. Further more, the package is more transparent and allows you to see the inside condition.
Which industries require hot packs?
There are many industry require the hot packaging, mainly has the same reason- they need to keep their product in good condition while having the nice exterior and more transparent. To be specific, like the door manufacturing industry, timber and lumber, building material, aluminum profiles, kitchen cabinet………They all require fully sealed package and beautiful exterior.
Some of the models of the hot packaging machines we use commonly:
1. The side sealing shrink wrapping machine. The machine has thermal sealing blade to do the weld in transverse direction and side sealer to make the side sealing continuously. This model has less limitation for the product size, both long and short bundles are available on this machine.
